Elephant Insurance on 360
Discussion
I've been phoning around for quotes on a 360 I pick up late May

Then.....Elephant come up with £1750 and adding my (ex) girlfriend knocks off another £250! Is this a bargain or could there be something hidden? (although, I don't know what you could hide really that would justify the difference) Anyone with an opinions of Elephant or insurance in general on Ferraris?
Hi, just had a quote for a 355 spider for an added £600 to my premium. i have since found a berlinetta which i asked them for a quote...... a further £687. i questioned this and after 15 mins on the phone it turns out they are going to refund me £90 from my current premium. cheaper than my Exige 240 cup....

£1750 for a 27 year is pretty good, very good for London. Im 27 and mine is £1.5k but i have it on a policy with everything else i own, so i get a discount.
Won't tell you what my insurance was when i bought the car, must be nearly 4 years ago now !!

Quite a few insurance companies said a years experience with a Ferrari is needed before they'd touch me and the old Porsche didn't count in their idea of "experience". Elephant surprised me by going straight down to that price. You must get a bit of attention with a 360 at 27 Stimo? - I had a skyline and a CSL hassling for a race on a 15 minute test drive! not an idea i entertained at the time.

I was wondering which insurance company are you insured with that allows you to group the insurance together for multiple cars? Would be handy to know for my parents!

Norwhich Union lets us do it.
Currenlty the Lambo and BMW on the policy and 3 drivers. Only main driver earns NCB though I believe. But have another car on a seperate policy so doesn't bother me.
I've not had a claim in 15 years, plus the NCB, and no points either. And at £3,400 at 36 (with prior Ferrari driving experience) my insurance in London still isn't cheap. But to some extent, you get what you pay for - one potential problem with Elephant on cars over 2 years old is that they'll do any repairs themselves. Having an agreed value for theft is also useful.

There is a guy who lives near my Dad in Yorks, who has about 50 cars - big time Maserati collector, lots of Ferrari's and olf F1 cars etc. MD of one of the biggest companies going. He has all his cars with an Insurance company in Wakefield, Yorks, he told me they were the best by a long way. This was a few years ago, so i will try and find out who he was talking about.

5to1, dumb question but how does that work? You have your NCB with the Lambo and the BMW, and then the other car has no NCB associated with it?
