Griff hire for 22nd 23rd April

This is a bit of a long shot, but :-

Any of you lot that have your cars in the classifieds willing to hire your steed to me for the weekend of 22nd / 23rd ? It could be on the basis that if I break it I will buy it. I have hill climb entries and my Griff has expired. It is only 8 gentle 1km trundles up a lane, honest. Ideally a car with a roll bar and based in the southern part of UK but anything would be good.

Well, worth a try, lost the entry fee for an event on 9th because the car broke on the 8th , and am down by the fees for 22/23rd. Getting desperate to put my race suit on and play cars.

Really I was thinking that if there was a Sprint / Hillclimb prepared Griff or Chim out there for sale I could be interested in buying, so was thinking sort of try before you buy but with a bit of cash for the trouble.

We do that with industrial machines, hire one to a customer and if he likes and buys one then he gets the hire fee back.

Hi Ben & Dee. As you may have seen from the other posts my crank is in two parts and I found it doesn’t work quite so well like that. Happened on the Saturday prior to the test day, which is better than in hollow bend. Getting a crank may be slow as it is very specific to that version of the engine. There is a slim (very slim actually) chance that I may be able to borrow a car for at least one of the days but apparently it is a bit LOUD so that may be a problem. Even if you had a seat I don’t think I have an adequate stock of spare underpants to dual drive that thing of yours.
