HELP! Will Cup alloys fit my 944?

HELP? I'm looking to upgrade my 1986 944 lux with some 17'' or 16'' Porsche cup alloys. Can anyone tell me what size offset I need to get so that they will fit, and maybe anything else I need to know! Or has anyone already done this, and do you have any pictures I can see???

I don't have a 944, was thinking about getting one and putting 17" Cup alloys on, they look the business. Ended up getting a 911 instead. But I was under the impression the the 17s can go straight onto a 944, but not sure if this is only the case with the S2 or not.

Got yourself a 911 instead, good work! I came across my 944 by chance as a friend of the who previously owned the car was getting to old to get in and out of it, so he offered it to me for peanuts. I of course have taken him up on the offer, and have taken it upon myself to restore the car. It's an Auto which isn't ideal, but I'm considering doing a few mods to give it a little extra performance, although I'm not sure you can do much with it! (Please let me know if anyone knows otherwise!).

As for the wheels, they look cracking, thank you! I just need someone to let me know what sizes alloys will fit and I can start my search for a set. It's just a slippery slope if I have to start buying spacers etc as then I'll be looking at hundreds! I may just settle for some S2 spot alloys which still look better than my 15'' teledials! I take it then go straight on without any trouble..

This Porsche lark is all new to me! Love it mind, I'm hooked!

Genuine ones wont fit without big (expensive) spacers on a pre 87 car, mille miglia (spelling?) make some replicas that fit with the correct offset. Not sure on the exact offsets but they have been well covered on the pcgb forum,

I've got 17" Cup alloys on my 944 Lux (1988 2.5), but I think they might well be replicas. There's no spacers or anything...

Hmm, the cups look SO good, but mine being an 86 model I think I may be in for some trouble. I may just settle for the 16'' S2 alloys - if they will even fit that is! Oh boy!

S2 wheels will also sit far too far in, they may clear but will look silly. All 87 onwards 944s got ABS offset hubs regardless of wether or not they had ABS, so the later wheels will not fit without spacers. Fuchs and other early 911 wheels should fit.

I see, and spacers can be expensive! How do I know what size early 911 alloys will fit? How about any of the early 911 cups? What size offset do I need to look for?

I want a set of 16 inch Fuch for my S2, I think they were an option on the 220 turbo, so they should fit the S2 surely?
