Hi, anyone know where in the UK one can get the red paint for the callipers. I know the US catalogs have the kits with the paint, hardner and cleaner but delivery may be too late for my purposes.

We've bought red calliper paint from Halfords before. Not sure that it's as good as the stuff from the States!

Agree with Nutz, I also bought Red Caliper paint from Halfords (on a rare occasion they had something I wanted ). Used it on my '95 Z28 and no problems.
I used Black Smoothrite on the Calipers of my C3 and again had no problems, and that was over 3 years ago .

I think there was a German brand on sale in Halfords that was exactly the same stuff as in the US, but that was a couple of years ago.

Ile third that, you have to look carefully cos the muppets at my Halfrauds dont tidy the shelves but there should be some small cans of heat resistant paint in various colours.

OK thanks guys. Do I assume correctly that brake fluid will be suitable for the pre clean if I just find the paint in Halfords?

What I bought from Halfords was a full kit which included a 2 pack paint system and cleaner. It's a brush on paint which makes life easier if you don't want to dis-sassemble everything. This is the sort of thing you need : www.speeding.co.uk/acatalog/Car_Accessories_Savage_Style_110.html

Ive used the brush on stuff before and as it happens it turns out quite a good finish, only drawback is dont stand back and admire your handywork for too long as the brush turns into a stick.....you might need mucho brushes.
