16" spiders on a cerb

Was wondering if a set of 16" front and rears spiders would go straight on or do you still need to source 4 fronts as you do with the 18"'s? Can't get my head around it, on one hand you would have the same offset problem as you have with the 18's but on the other hand I think that the 16's are a narrower rim hence might not cause a problem with rubbing on the rear. Love the ride I am getting on 16's at the moment but would like to update the look (and maybe paint them black for Spartacus's le Mans racer look)

How much cheaper?Oh quite a bit, think you can often get a set for around £200 used. The good news is, from what I can work out the Tuscan's run a bigger rolling radius for their tyres so for them the 16's really do look silly with a big tall tyre wall. The Cerb has a smaller overall radius so gets away with it better, limits the used market as no Tuscan owners want them.

From this pic I would say that the rear is sitting further out than the fronts so think it is a standard set rather than 4 fronts, but maybe he had to grind the arches as well. Anyone know who's car it is?

I ran some Tuscan RL16s on my Cerbera for a while (see profile pic) and the offsets are different front and rear. The rear track was increased by about 25mm as a result. So3s would rub a little on the rear over a big bump, but that was about it.
If you're interested, I'm looking to get rid of these for a nominal sum, they need refurbishing though, as I just spray painted them.
I agree with the ride comments though, even though I've swithced to 17" wheels, I've kept 45 profile tyres by going to 225/45x17" all round. Speed Sixes where 225/50x16" all round, so its the same rolling radius as them.

Thanks for that Simon, will certainly consider it - my head is awash with options so might as well add another to the list
. Still got those 17" rarerims ones you got at the back of my mind as well, tagging along with those are the RL 17's which come up quite often on ebay. Going to have to make a decision soon though as my rear tyres are getting close to the limit. Have my eye on some 16" spiders which currently are looking like they might be a workable option.
