I've recently started going to studio evenings at a local camera club, and here is a shot from the last one. It's only my second time, so still loads and loads to learn but it sure beats getting up before sunrise or lugging all my gear up a hill somewhere

As the title says, the model is nude so I've put a link instead to avoid anyone getting fired

Nice pic Ed!

How does it work, you all take it in turns to direct the model and take bunch of pics?

To make her complete, you should have asked her to do a "Lager Fountain" from her lips. Would've been perfect.

Thanks. Yep - that's basically how it works, although we can also alter the lighting too if we want.

That rod under the chair looks likes its erm... actually no forget it. I was just wondering why she looked stuck in that position

Nice work. It would be nice to see some basic exif data posted along with pics, for noobs like me.

Indeed a life study.

And a still life, the chair being very shapely.

But, as the subject line claims, the studio does seem completely nude.

nice pic. what was the set up?

for bob I'm assuming two lights 3 stops over keylight to white the background, with soft boxes to the left and right above her. left light is the key light with fill-in (1stop below keylight) to the right.

some advice/coments. get the model to suck her belly in a bit more lol and watch the light fall off. there is a nice highlight running up her legs but then the body is a bit darker (highlight still there though). you could maybe have used a reflector to light up her bum area a bit too. don't like the hair but thats personal lol but I'm just nit picking

and again nice shot. any more from the set?

Thanks,

It was shot with a Canon 1Ds II and 100mm macro lens at 1/125s and f8. The background was lit by a single light (fitted with a honeycomb) to the left slightly behind the model (i.e., between her and the back of the background), and she herself was lit by a softbox to the left and slightly in front of her (between her and me). There was also a white reflector about 2 feet behind her head to the right hand side.

Two hours and no Vixpy. Methinks the lad is slipping...

A few more from the same shoot. I decided to get rid of the bar on the bottom of the chair as a few people have commented on it.

Similar lighting setup to the first one

Nice pics lighting wise. But, your models breast area is a bit shall we say 'lacking' or 'saggy'...perhaps you could work on accentuating her good points rather than highlighting the bad with your choice of poses.
