Classified Adverts Email
Discussion
Ted,
I guess it's more of an FYI for you.
I used to be signed up to the Classified Adverts email which arrived weekly.
I just went back to my profile to re-add it, so that I would start to receive them again, and discover that it was already flagged as yes.
But I've not been receiving any.
My email address is right (as I receive the PH promotions regularly, and I get mails via PH).
I've toggled it off and back on again, just in case.
Not sure where the problem lies - but just in case ......

Cheers for that Ted - at least I know it's not me.
I suppose that for me - logic would say that you should have the ability to seach for vehicle type and price band.
Example - all estates between £1,000 and £3,000, perhaps refining it to brands - ie - all Audi, Beemer, Merc and Volvo estates between £1k and £3k.
But I expect that would mean that if you were take all existing ads, then you'd need to flag them - ie - all estates, coupes, hatchbacks, MPVs, convertables, kit kars, etc, etc, etc ..... Not a job I'd fancy - unless you applied it to all new ads - and therefore it's down to the advertiser to ensure they correctly flag it.
Then for those who subscribe to the classifieds emails - they can define the ads they receive - based on above (for example). But problem here is I don't know how much would be involved.
And of course, you've got more pressing things to worry about right now.
Food for thought I expect.

The advanced search facility can almost do that and I'll be adding a subscribe option to it soon.
