New Alcons...

Just had the new 6pots + generation 2 anti-rattle Alcons (360mm) with fresh RS29s fitted today by Steve at JZM... one word: FANTASTIC!!!

Many thanks to Steve for this superlative upgrade and service (as usual) from JZM. I hesitated at first considering the various options, but their superior performance is noticeable at every speed. Easy to modulate, stunning power, no rattling, no squealing (yet), and they look stunning to boot! Hope to give them a good workout this weekend

Nice one. Surprised they aren't squealing, especially if you haven't bedded them in yet?

It's town driving that gets them squealing, removes the transfer layer that bedding in deposits.

After a few initial light heat cycles immediately following the install and a few spirited blasts around the M25 during which I couldn't but help myself try out the new stopping power(!), it was mostly start/stop traffic crawling home this evening. Even so, still no squealing! I'll be waiting till this Monday to properly bed them in at Bedford.

Those were my exact thoughts when I went out for several passenger laps with others who already had the upgrade done to their cars. It's confidence inspiring stuff to be hanging in by the harnesses!

They are awesome. Second time I've used them in anger today, and everyone I gave a pax ride to was commenting on the brakes!

Give JZ a call to confirm, but all in c.£2.7k. Fitted new: 6pot calipers, bells and discs, RS29s, brakelines, SRF, misc parts. If you have a Mk2 already, it's significantly cheaper as you don't need the calipers. Not cheap, but worth it imho.
