Afternoon guys,

I jump in the car, give the key two clicks prior to the immobiliser button, and the RPM counter is all over the place - even before I have started the engine!

Anyone else had this?

Quite common with the speedo, but don't recall any threads recently with the rev counter going loopy. Does it only do this prior to starting engine or both before and after? If both then maybe a faulty 'sender'?? If it happens only as you turn the ignition switch prior to bliping the immobiliser then sounds like dodgy electrics of some description. My experience of car electrics is that they defy most known laws of physics and so deffo something for the boys of the dark art to deal with.

Thanks Robp,

Just before I start the engine. It goes up and down and wavers for a few seconds then stops. Then I start the engine and all seems OK......so far!
