Takes my Accumate 24 hours minimum to get the batter back to normal so givd it some more time.

Once the battery is completely drained it can take quite some time to regain enough charge (even with a good charger). In my case, I had to leave it for a 2-3 days but it did recover.

I have noticed another problem that there is a clicking noise coming from the engine bay, i thought maybe the starter motor was stuck?? because the battery meter on the car says 12.5V that is normally what it is, should be a engough to start it yeah?

I suspect that this is the starter motor solenoid clicking. There's enough juice to engage the solenoid, but once the starter itself tries to crank, there's not enough, so the solenoid disengages. Repeat.... result is click click click click.

Yes, more charge required. I was told that it should be reading over 13v.

When my battery went totally flat after not driving the car for a couple of weeks in the freezing weather, ie not enough power to open the door, I had to leave it on charge for almost 4 days. WhenI first put it on charge the interior lights continully flashed on and off... I wondered what the hell was going on.

But in the end the battery was as good as new.
