I need a new air filter for my 89 s2. Had a look through the search thingy but can't find any info to tell me exactly what I need.

I know it's Pipercross and I have 3004 scribbled down on a bit of paper for some reason, but buggered if I can remember why.

Had a look on Demon Tweeks, but not sure.

Thanks in anticipation.

that sounds like the correct unit to me you will have to cut a hole for the breather pipe or fit a crankcase breather to the oil filler cap to ventilate the engine (second option is definately the best)

Think I've got it ordered now, thanks. Where will I have to cut the hole? Will the old one already have a hole in it? What is a crank case breather unit, what does it look like and is it better than just cutting the hole?

Sorry if I sound like I haven't got a clue, but I haven't!

you have to cut a hole in the side of the foam better off getting a breather

something like this
www.pipercross.net/newsletters/crankcase_0305/
Rubber base "to atmosphere" filters

halfords sell them or any good car shop

you fit it onto the oil filler cap and replace the pipe was that went to the air filter
