996TT diverter valves

Has anyone changed the plastic diverter (recirculating dump valves) valves on their 996TT to aftermarket alloy versions? Did it make any difference? I have heard the standard plastic Bosch items can leak which will reduce power.

I've been thinking of changing to the alloy Dv's also, I changed the DV on an Audi TT years ago but didn't notice a great deal of difference apart from a little more noise. Apparently the turbos spool up a bit quicker in between gear changes ????

Changed mine a couple of weeks back on my 993 turbo. I opened up the originals and they looked fine. However, I'm pleased I installed the aluminium ones since they were much more substantially put together and use a piston instead of a diaphragm, which I believe is teh week point in the originaly.

I changed mine for the evo ones and the old ones were shot. It wasn't a night and day difference but the car definitely feels smoother.

EVOMS now have a UK supplier but I looked on their site as I'm after replacements myself and the vavles are double the price of the EVOMS site, surely this can't be right.

I installed the Forge valves and they seemed very well made, might be a good idea to take a look at those while you're at it

Had the Evoms fitted a couple of weeks ago,can'tsay i noticed any difference,could be due to having new turbo's fitted at the same time
Run the car on Weltmeister dyno after 550bhp,bloody mental.......

Steve - I paid the price on the US website ($285). I'm not having them shipped to the UK though, I go to the US every 3 months or so and generally get things shipped to a friend and pick them up when I'm over. I'm out there first week of May if you want me to pick you up a set?
