Hi, I am new to TVRs and have just bought a Chimaera as a second car. It is therefore not used regularly and the battery is draining. Can anyone advise what the best way of keeping the battery topped up is, product name and where to buy would be great. I have tried putting croc leads on but the battery is in such a difficult place to get at I've given up.

Hi Tug, you need an Accumate... available through the TVRCC, Leven, or the factory direct (google for it). Pulgs into your cigarette lighter socket... top piece of kit.

Hi Tug, welcome to the world of the perpetual grin
I too bought a Chim as a second car in January, and was also concerned about battery charge. I got an accumate, and its still in its box!! The fun i get from driving the Chim means that i have now done 2,800 miles in 3 months. The battery doesn't get a chance to discharge. Have fun, be careful in the wet and go steady on the loud pedal for a while. You might also want to consider a course with Ride Drive to help get best use of the car.

Thanks for the info, I only have the car a couple of weeks and I haven't been able to drive it cos of work then the battery was flat. I will get the Accumate as you suggest.

Not sure what the region refers to - is it just your county or is it a car club region? I live in Bedfordshire near Milton Keynes.
