door wont unlock from solinoid then opens when go to drive

hi has anyone experianced this fault as well today while out the drivers door button on the mirror stopped working i thought strange and then when i started it up and went to drive off the solinoid went and poped the door open even though it didnt work with the bottons from inside or outside and when i press to open nothing happens and have to use emergency cord when i press the lock button the drivers open button flashes but the other one does not can any one help with the or tell me what the problem is or a repair for it

Hi Wayne.

I had this about a year ago.

The problem was exactly the same but I had it come back. Then go away, Then come back...

Had to wind down the window and open the door with the emergency handle, but then it would open whenever I did less than the 6mph you can open the door under. Amusingly it was happening at the same time as the speed sensor went AWOl. On one occasion the speed went to 0mph and the dood popped open at 30ish Ended up removing the door fuse.

The problem was the door switch. Apparently the button is a tight fit in the switch and it was heating up and expanding enough to think it was being pressed. I had a new button module fitted and no problem since.

Hope yours has sorted itself, but if it comes back then hope that helps.
