Evening All, Have managed to get my car going albeit some drastic mods. Have taken out the fuel pump relay and linked it as Wedgie suggested. Also hot wired it from the battery to the coil.( cheers Finkel ) I desperately need a Wedge fix, so how long can it be left like this?
Is it a really short term solution or can i take it for a couple of blasts...............UG

Go for it! As long as you keep to a 5-mile radius of your house. I used to drive around with the fuel pump fuse replaced with a switch so I could switch it on and off, until I figured out that the fuel temp sensor was knackered...

Why 5 miles? I was thinking of 50 miles to run engine in.

You sure that it won't work if you put the fuel pump relay back in?

Just jumped across from Chim forum... Does your car have a fuelcut off switch ?? If it does then if anything happened to the car the fuel pump would continue to run untill ignition was switched off.... Be carefull mate.Steve.

Yeah - do 50 miles in a circle - 5 mile radius - 15 mile circumference. 3 laps. If there's a problem you're never more than 5 miles away to get some backup or a tow home. If you get bored then go round the other way!
