I used to own a brand new T350C and lost a fortune when I sold it to another TVR main dealer. The dealer in question asked how much I paid for the car new and when I said list price, his face dropped - like I'm some kind of plonker.

Hypothetically speaking, if someone wanted a new Sagaris, what kind of a discount would you expect to get on a brand new 'in stock' car that's up for £55k?

As I said, at the minute its just hypothetical, but dependant upon the responses that could all change.........

Thanks

dunno - guess it depends if you walk in with cash or finance (sometimes they make more on the finance than the car) ...or whether its the end of the quarter and they need to sell a few more cars....I would have thought you could get a couple of grand off easy enough though in any scenario

I was quoted £49K for exactly such a car last week by a main dealer, without a part-ex. Mind you, he's had it in stock for several months. Another main dealer currently has a cancelled order Sagaris in his showroom also at £49K OTR.

If you want to spec your own and wait for it to be built etc then don't expect any discounts. If you'll take a cancelled order then probably a couple of grand off!

I was in a similar situation this year. Had a 1 year old T350C which I had taken brand new at list price when I got impatient whilst waiting for a Sagaris. Basically I'd been on wait since the car was first announced.

Went back to the same dealer and he paid me a very fair price for the 350 when PXing for my new Sag - admittedly with a bit of haggling. At the end of the day I think loyalty pays, as when I checked away for a similar deal no other dealer could match it.

Tell you what though, you'll never regret the switch - the Sagaris is the business. Much better ride and more torque. It's my fourth TVR and whilst the previous three turned heads, this one has people reaching for their cameras.

Well, I'm in a bit of a mess really, in a moment of sensibility, I recently placed a deposit on a 911 which I should be picking up on Friday. Felt really sensible and happy coming back from the dealership, but now I keep finding myself looking at pics of Sagaris' and I'm having cold feet on the Porker front.

I was thinking if I could get a deal on a Sagaris that made it worth losing the deposit on the 911, then I'd go for it, otherwise I've made my bed so i'll just have to lay on it.

Oh and I need a car for the 25th April no matter what - so it would have to be a physical car in stock.

Thanks

There should be a couple available in the factory . Or you could take a demo (although the condition of these has been questioned on another thread).
