Well, after having the tracking checked on Thursday afternoon and finding my rack was a little worn and driving 5.6 miles in a car I've had since November. I took the plunge and took her to Donnington Park..... Just a little trip. 
Car performed fantastically considereing it hasn't been driven in anger for about 2 years (400 miles tops) she did me proud. Started everytime (if a little noisly when cold) didn't overheat, didn't burn any oil (lost about a litere fromt the oil cooler though).
Have found a few other niggly issues like a loose diff mount 10 mins before I was about to leave too!
Foun the Gax shocks trade stand while I was at the show and quoted UNDER £600 all in for a full set of height adjustable coilover dampers with springs at required rates and both bump and rebound adjustment! Also had in interesting dicussion about Pro-techs and kit car users.
