When im on my internet browser, i type in the address at the top, then, hit enter. However it hasn't been working this past week and i don't know why, because i haven't doen anything different. ANyone know how to fix this, im not a big computer guy or else i could probably source the problem myself...

If you are using Internet Explorer I would highly recommend you download Firefox..
(An Internet Explorer alternative from Here)

Otherwise, I did have this problem once before which in my case turned out to be a virus/spyware of some kind I think.. Try running a virus scan and if you have a spyware scanner, run a check with that aswell!

Dave.

This has come up a couple of times recently - have you cleared out the temp files folder and cleared all cookies?

Does it make any difference if you actually type in the http:// at the start of the address? This is controlled by a registry entry that can get changed / removed, so if http://www.website.com works, but www.website.com doesn't, then that's something to pursue.

If you're confident enough to edit the registry (I don't mean to be rude, but I've no idea how technical you are) then you can check/change these keys:

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\URL\DefaultPrefix
and
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\URL\Prefixes

Put http:// in as the default value in DefaultPrefix, and as the 'home', 'mosaic', and 'www' values in Prefixes.

Standard Disclaimer - if you're not confident with regedit, leave it alone because you might break it beyond repair, and it would be entirely your fault and not mine
