Just wanted to go out for a spin and I got into the car fine, the windows and lights work, but the car won't start.

Not even the ignition light came on, but with everything else working, I don;t think it's the battery.

Any ideas before I call the AA to see if they know anything?

Assuming you have done the fuses thing, are you sure it's not the battery? Mine did something similar and turned out the battery was knackered. Takes a lot of juice to turn over a V8. Does it bumpstart?

My Griff did this Jiffle - all the stuff was working but no juice to turn the battery. Is the fuel pump priming ok? Has it got it's usual "tone"? I could tell the battery power was low cos the fuel pump was buzzing at a lower frequency. Anyhow, changed the battery this morning and it's running great (buggered up my cd changer, but that's another story....)

The fuel pump does not fire in at all, but will go and check the fuses once more, just to be certain.

If the fuel pump does not fire up, is it more likely to be the battery?

Simon

Forgot to say, not used it for a week, and have not tried to bump start it yet, but it does not even tick over

Thanks

It was a low voltage on the battery coupled with imobiliser problems.

Freeee to fix as the AA man did a bit, and then with a quick look at the bible to check the battery voltage, it started....

Been driving the car ever since to ensure the battery does not go flat
