The A428 at Cambridge is being prepared for a contraflow for resurfacing, a number of the new cameras on the high poles with the loops in the road have been fitted to enforce the temporary speed limit. Now as these are digital I was thinking how they get a ISDN or broadband connection to the camera to send the data back, to my amazement these new tall vandal proof cameras have a slight floor in the system, on the embankment is a very flimsy satellite dish! which is going to return the data. I’m sure that’s going to work, mind you the dish will end up on some pikeys caravan before long!

I am surprised. It's so easy to accidentally knock a satellite dish out of alignment...

Just disable the klystron, or move the dish.

I would guess there is a buffer memory in the actual camera itself though ?

another thing the 1st morning the cameras appeard I was an hour late for work because of a pile up 50 yds before one, skid marks before markings, now they are hooded with 'not in use' I think they still have to fit the chip and pin terminal before they go on line.
