997 & 996 C4S experience please?
Discussion
what differences? they are practically identical bar some round headlamps and updated interior
have driven both and the extra 30bhp is welcome but not greatly noticeable, the main difference is cost you pay for the newer design
IMHO the 997 4S is far less desirable v its 2wd brother than the 996 4S was v the 996 C2. The visual and spec differences are now miniscule (I sat and stared at two otherwise identical 4S and 2S and struggled to see the extra 44mm of width in the arse) whereas the only n/a 996 I would buy is the 4S as I find it so much more visually appealing and it comes with turbo brakes and suspension. The 997 4S is a great car but having driven back to back with a 2S I can't see the point of the fractionally heavier and slower 4S.
