I'm currently looking for a 02 turbo and one of the cars i've seen has a warranty-wise warranty on it from the supplying dealr (Gray Paul). Is this warranty any good or am i just as well binning it and taking out an OPC one? thanks.
Personally I would take the OPC route.
Not worth the paper its written on. Get a £500+ discount for not taking the offered warranty and spend the money on an OPC warranty.
Make the sale dependant on it getting an OPC warranty and negogiate downwards for anything that needs doing to get the warranty.
sorry should have made myself clearer. This is a private deal, the warranty was from when the bloke bought the car, but doesn't seem to matter too much by the sound of it, eg looks cr*p!
On a car such as a 996TT you really need the Porsche Approved Warranty. Then you can re-new it each year, and sleep peacefully at night.
You could ask Graypaul to arrange this (it requires an OPC inspection and the rectification of any faults) as part of any negotiations.
