the 'other' side to the Cerb

Went out with the missus and 2 year old daughter for the first 'propper' family trip today. It was the first time I wasn't out for a right foot to the floor session and I must admit the car was brilliant - we got stuck in a 20 minute traffic jam in Windsor and then a 45 minute jam at Hampton court without out any problems at all. The looks we got from people standing along Winsdor high street was unreal - all in all we did 200 miles today. The cerb IS a family car provided you don't have large kids (or missus!) and is civilised enough to travel along motorways etc and still hear what the rest of the passengers are saying to you. I think my missus was plesently suprised (as I had been warning her that they are prone to breaking down ((just so she wouldn't bee to pissed if / when it did))

Indeed, have done a few four up trips now and in many ways it makes you feel even better about the car, like a justification that it is indeed a practical family motor (well sort of 
). In fact my wife has gone off with our other car today so I am just leaving now in the Cerb to do the pre-school drop for my son and then onto "grannies" for my daughter, get some looks from the other parents when you rock up in one of these though but it does put a smile on my face.

It's a giggle isn't it? I rolled up to my daughters nursery with her in a rear facing car seat, picked her up, went off to Tesco and just dared the Security Guard to have a go at me for parking in the "Mother" and child spaces.....

Funnily enough, at my daughter's nursery I seem to be in favour with not only the teachers and the normal mums, but also get a few smiles and twinkles from the MILFs too

It's a giggle isn't it? I rolled up to my daughters nursery with her in a rear facing car seat, picked her up, went off to Tesco and just dared the Security Guard to have a go at me for parking in the "Mother" and child spaces.....
When my kids were younger I often parked in Waitrose mother n baby spaces. Got lots of stares from people, once a woman stopped and started shouting. I pretended not to hear or see her, opened my door, got out and then looked over just as I lifted out the 2 yr old. Her face was a picture!

That's an absolute classic. I might go and do that at Tesco's if I get bored.
MOH uses the Cerb to take the kids to school in, the kids street cred goes through the roof cos their dad has a Cerb.
Best thing is taking my daughter out in it, and because she has cerebral palsy parking in the disabled parking spaces with it. The looks you get, but no one has said anything yet........but I'm waiting.

I don't understand why anybody would think that a cerbera isn't a family car - I bought on that basis 4 years ago and we happily travel about 4 up with enough kit for a todder and 5 year old visiting friends and family and staying overnight - although the older one often asks me to slow down on the twisties so he can watch his dvd in more comfort.
