19 inch wheels on a Boxster

Hey all, Just wondering if it was possible to put some of those nice new 19 boxster wheels on the older (986) car?

Not sure.

But, IMO, the 986 rides and handles better on 17" wheels and the 987 rides and handles better on the 18" wheels.

Agreed. I had 17" on my Boxster 2.5 and 18" on my Boxster S, the 2.5 was definately the better ride of the two.

No prob's, just check the off set (et) and stick to porsche size tyres, and use a specialist for fitting.

It was only on later 986S cars that Porsche offered 18" wheels. I expect one should follow the advice of the OPC in this respect.
