I found a supplier on the net a while back for foam filled fuel tanks - and now I need the link I cant find em again Anyone got some names I can search for?! After a couple of 6 or so gallon ones.

Try AH fabrications in Hereford. They make all the foam filled ali ones
sold by Demonthieves. They are cheaper direct 01432 354704

Thanks Eliot, they have one that looks like it'll fit perfectly, should be able to get a pair of 5 gallon verticle drag ones in either rear quarter panel. Only thing I'm not sure of is how you could fit a fuel guage to them.

That's a good point which I overlooked, because I dont have one currently. But then again, when your'e only getting 9mpg out of a 10 gallon tank - you tend to fill up at every station anyway!

never considered a bigger tank, like 100gallons?

I plan to do a lot of miles in this car (as in long journeys) and am not exactly renowned for my memory, so thought I best be safe!!

I've emailed them to see what they say - I should imagine it must be possible to put a VDO type tube on in from the top somewhere like they do on the ally ones I was looking at, but best to check!
