Hi,

Anyone know of a cheaper way of transfering money to suppliers abroad (far east & USA)? I currently use HSBC who charge £22 for the pleasure.

Yes indeed! How soon do you need it and does it always go to the same person?

I am in the process of launching a service that will in effect be free and transfer is instant. Just waiting for our banking license to be finalised.

Can't offer it just yet though, probably going live in about 3 months.

XE is the way to go. I use them all the time but it does take a few days.....

You'll be hard pushed to get a better rate too.

If they are any size then surely a credit card is the simplest?

Otherwise, there is always Paypal. Depending on the sums to transfer, their charges may well be less expensive.

Give me 3-6 months and I can do it for nowt! Exchange rate should be comparable to the stuff out there right now as well. And to make it even better, it is instant.

Advert over!

Honest guv! Don't want to say much now for obvious reasons but the company that I am doing this with has revenues in excess of $2 billion a year, much of which is raised in very similar markets. When we launch, I'll be the first to eat my hat if we can't do the transfer for free. Of course, in some cases the reciving organisation might make a charge but in 90% of cases we can prevent that as well.
