Hi sorry I know this is a re-occurring.

My understanding from ringing around today and researching this site is:

Toyos only do a V rated front in 15" size

Dunlops SP9000 no longer available Z rated for the rear

Micheldever Tyres could not offer me an option in above V rate matching pair.

My local tyre dealer managed to find AVON ZZ-1 in Millenium tread pattern. However, this option will be gone soon as well.

Any comments on the Avons (I seem to remember bad reviews)?

Any other solutions anyone has found

Looks like I might have to go the 17" replacement wheel route

Thanks,

Matt

www.mytyres.co.uk seems to have Dunlops in both (assuming 205/55 15 and 225/45 or 225/50 16)

I bought a pair of Eagle F1 GSD2s last week - www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=8&t=260158&p=1

Excellant service and very fast delivery.
£50 each inc delivery or £58 fitted. They are running very low though so get in quick.

If it's of any interest I have a complete set of brand new Bridgestone Z-rated SO1s stored in my garage.

Thanks All,

I have a 500 so was looking for standard fitment 245/45s on the rear.

From a bit of research on here it would appear that I can fit 225/50s on the rear rims with no real negative effect (guess I need to check with insurance).

Seems that the 245/45 205/55 combo is a bit of a non-starter.

I will go with the 225 rear option unless anyone shouts 'No'. I guess all the rear wheels are the same size???

Thanks again,

Matt

Matt,
The Dunlop is available in 225/50 or 235/50 (16" but not 245/45. We've gone for the T1R's on the rear and the SP9000 on the front - very similar tread pattern.
With the new drop links fitted it holds the road really well. Also good in the wet. Not really pushed it yet though as still running the engine in.

What's wrong with that? Fitted by the factory to many cars. (Nothing wrong with the 225 option either - at least the rear wheel size was chosen for a 225.)

Think he means that you can't get the fronts and the rears from the same manufacturer.

Not bad, stands out with non-standard alloys.

And for pic uploading:
