Just into my second Chim that I collected last week. Picked up a 2000 X reg sourced by Rob Ingelby and 25K that is just a gem and have not stopped smiling.

Bit of a soft point in the scheme of things but I cannot set the roof up without a small gap at the top of the window either on one side or the other. Am I missing something or is it just a factor of use? The thing that is making me think it must be me is that this gives quite a bit of wind noise with the roof on and I am convinced it was nearly silent when I test drove it!

The answer of course is to leave the roof off and just to enjoy the sound but I would like to get it right if it is something I am doing. Any thoughts welcomed

Thanks
Ian

I have a similar problem which is always fixed by farting on with the roof, fitting and re-fitting until it's absolutely spot-on. I think even a few mm out in fitting the roof can cause difficulties - maybe it's a bit different to your last one and you just need to have a good fiddle (so to speak)...

might need to adjust the windows so that they rise a little further?

Had a problem with my roof creaking a lot, someone suggested vaseline ( for the roof ). Did all the edges and it's been as good as gold since. Don't know if this will help with wind noise though.

best put something next to the drop glass to make sure you dont scratch it is the a-frame a snug fit against the seal? if so lifting the window up will help just dont lift it too far or it will foul the seal when closing bending the a-frame in a touch can help avoid that. hope that helps a little
