copy and paste from an email I received today from the guy who is building my engine in the US:

"Here's the latest news.

I completed the porting on the injector housings. They needed to be enlarged significantly. They were only at about 34 mm in the centers of the ports.
I opened them up to 36.5 mm the whole way. This took a lot of time because the previous porting was done unevenly. Normally the ports are quite round and I remove material evenly from the whole circumference. Your ports had valleys and bumps that needed to be smoothed out. This requires a lot of stopping in the grinding to check the roundness of the port as I go. The plenum is next and last for porting..."

Please remember that the stock size is about 33mm...
I have lots and lots of mails detailing the disassembly and rebuild of the engine, and it seems like everything was done the same way...POORLY. Remember that my original heads were replaced for 90s (without valve seals, wich I will have to pay and install now), the valve springs in this heads have turned out to be too weak, and will have to be replaced too...

It seems that I paid just for a huge piece of SH*T bolted together (and not very well bolted)... (oh!, and for my own transmission)

Tell Marc to hurry up - we're waiting for ours!!

At least when you get it back you know it will be perfect. Sorry to hear that it's been such a nightmare.

I'm coming to Barcelona for a short work trip Sunday/Monday - hope the weather is good!

Take care.

People keep asking me when I'm getting my engine back and why it's taking so long. The simple answer is after Marc's finished your 'rebuild from hell' At least you now know all the reasons it never ran as it should. Bet you can't wait to get it back

It sounds like an exact duplicate of what i went through with my engine rebuild Jordi and many others that had him do work for them.
Any news on when the engine will return?,how much did it cost to send it to the states?
