Is there a central organisation used to help minimse fraudulant claims?

Also does anyone know what kind of claim are the most likely to be fraudulent in terms of size and type? In other words, is a claim of £100 made on contents insurance more likley to be dodgy than one made for £500 on car insurnace for example?

In short - does anyone know anything about this area, work in insurance or fraud prevention in general?

Cheers
