My car (Volvo S60 LPG) needs a service and last time I took it to Mill it cost an arm and a leg. Does anyone know of any specialists in the area that they can recommend.

Thanks in advance

As my mother would have said " Silence rained and we all got wet". Obviously no Volvo owners service their cars then ?

Hows about these people www.huttonbros.co.uk/. Around 40 miles away from you...? Closest I could find.

I can highly recommend Volmech (Thornaby) Tel: 01642 612612

They looked after my S70 T5 brilliantly.

Thanks for the replies guys, I am going to contact Volmech to see how much it will cost to service, as I have only done 5000 miles, I dont think it will be too expensive.

Sorry I haven't replied sooner, our Volvo (850 2.5 auto estate) is my wifes pride and joy so I dont look in this section too often. It took that little rant about ICI in the NE section to get you noticed.

I'll second the comments about Volmech. We've used them for years and have nevr once had cause to complain about their work or prices. Provided you dont want plush customer waiting areas and brand new service loan cars I dont think you could go far wrong with those guys.

Hi g32Turbo, sorry about the rant. Thanks for posting about Volmech, I didn't think they would have service loan cars, but that will be an added bonus. The car was serviced last August and since then I have only done 5000 miles. I dont know what anyone thinks but would an oil change be enough?

Not only do they have service loan cars but they'll even collect your car from home, leave you a car (probably something like an old 440) then bring your car back later and pick up the loan car. Absolutely brilliant.
