Another Julian, another Cerbera!

Been lurking in these forums for ever - and finally I found the right car. The usual moments of "Tuscan S' crept in, I'm a heoooge fan of TVR in general, but in the end there is NOTHING like the Cerbera, and unlikely to be anything quite like it again, it's the most antisocial car I have ever been strapped in.
So it just means an agonising, sleepless wait till Sunday to pick it up - I'm near enough to Jools at TCS for a bit of tweaking too, he is half the reason I stuck with the dream. Pics will follow ASAP - assuming I don't bend the car on the journey home!

Congatulations, there is nothing quite like picking up your 'new' TVR more so when it's something like a 'Cerby'. I had a hundred or so mile trip from the dealers which was a blast right up nearly getting taken out by two chinese girls going right round a roundabout in the outside lane as I was just about to exit. Luckily my wife was following and honked to alert me to the rapidly approaching orientals in my 3/4 blind spot. Counting myself lucky and within 5 miles of home, following another car though a set of lights on green when he gets 'T' boned by an ambulance coming though the red light - no sirens not pretty.
I was beginning to think someone was trying to tell me something.

I guess you have a Duke then?
The Cerb is very much like a V twin Ducati.
I think that is why I was drawn to the V8 stomp, it lunges up the road.
I know what you mean regards the antisocial element, though the Cerb also has a far more docile pleasant side, a Jeckle and Hyde for sure.
Take it easy early on. Yeah give it a good gunning, but don’t get too clever.
No disrespect I am sure you can handle it and all that. But it can snap at you. Only a few weeks ago I had what is the car equivalent of a tank slapper when getting a bit over zealous.
Good luck with it all, with TCS on your door step you are guaranteed the best possible treatment and upgrades, I go there my self. Only 130 miles each way, though as I explained to one of the uninitiated when you find some one you trust implicitly then there is only one option.

If its pi55ing it down leave collection while another day! It nearly put me off altogether, in fact its only this recent spell of good weather that has restored my faith now I love it and use it in all weather, not ideal to have your first drive in dodgy conditions.
Yes, forgot about the UK's weather situation - good point, it's going to be a 200 mile journey, reckon I'd be grey by the time I got home

I wouldn't let bad weather (snow excepted 
) prevent you collecting it. Just treat the car with respect in wet conditions and it will return the favour - otherwise you'll always worry when the rain comes. Besides you need to familiarise yourself with the performance gradually or else you'll get into trouble very easily Trust me - from a fairly new Cerb owner

TCS will become your second home, but it's more than worth it, what do you have planned "tweak" wise? The new Whirlwind Induction hoses are ready, coupled with a remap you'll be on

, just think of all of the upgrade options there are available nowdays, remaps, induction pipes, brakes, suspension, exhausts, linked de-cats, etc, etc, did you know that you can make a super fast car even faster....still tempted?It's not a silver one, it's Reflex Purple '04 Red Rose - lovely car and the previous owner has treated her with love, and insisted on us going out on the test run for the longest possible time taking into account everything from the usual gut-wrenching acceleration to pottering round town. Top bloke by all accounts and he loves his motors.
Very sad to hear the upset at the Factory at the moment given this was the kind of car they once built (still build?), sincerely hope it improves. No chance of TCS offering somekind of take-over?!

Sounds superb........and a Red Rose to boot, Joolz will love the opportunity to "tweak" it, it may challenge Nickccc's Red Rose as the highest powered Cerb (except the Boss Cerb) in the UK....but still won't be the fastest though....
I reckon Joolz / TCS would need extra deep pockets to be able to put in a bid for TVR

Daggart's is still the most powerful apart from BossCerbera's
