Don't see why not - they're all Salisbury diffs but watch the ratios and whether LSD.

Pretty certain they do, as when I replaced my driveshaft casing seals I had to order an XJS part number.

There was a guy offereing the difs on ebay for @ £100, and he had loads of new ones in a metal basket that had been stood for the last 10 years or so !

I seem to recall an earlier thread about this, i think(!) the XJS Auto was the one with the right ratio for my type (2.8i)and had the LSD also. I had considered swapping, but keep reminding myself that I bought the car for a bit of low cost fun! So no repaints or upgrades! It has worked so far - in 3 years long tours of Scotland, then France/Germany/Switzerland- and no problems except self inflicted

If thats a jaguar specialist in the black country then barge pole springs to mind... I've had a couple of diffs from them that turned out to be scrap, and the ones in the wire basket are from a much later jag and dont fit..

Be careful when buying a differential, as some sellers think an XJ40 jag is an XJS, but the rear end is totally different on the XJ40, it has out board discs etc. If the seller doesn;t know the difference between an XJ6 and XJS and XJ40 steer clear! (IMHO, of course). Last time I looked the Power Loc diffs were going for silly money. It was and still is probably cheaper to buy an entire Jaguar and scrap it. :0
