Trans German trip

I'm thinking of picking up my Porker from the Midlands and driving it to Germany over the long weekend.
Talking to Balmoral Green yesterday made me be tempted to pop into PistonFest, although a bit of a detour, and then take a ferry on Monday back with trusty Beetle.
Only problem is that I hear that it's getting late to buy tickets on various threads. Is this purely because it's late to send? Can I turn up there and pay to get in 'at the door'?

I think that you need to get tickets in advance if you want to camp. It would be good to see you again Rup. It's been a year!

May not be possible if I have to get them sent, I don't imagine the post is that quick from England to Germany and I was going to "wing it" as to whether I was going to come or not as I have so much on.
