Will the Supercharged Typhon ever appear?

Why won't it appear? Last I heard it had overheating issues. What car are they gonna make that goes faster than 230mph?
They will make a jalopy or pretend they have, that looks fast and then feed us the bull. Not wishing to offend but you've only made 8 postings here, have you credible info? Your postings timed with all the bad news from the factory, I can't see them doing anything exciting for a while. Heck a TR7 with a big engine could better whatever they have to offer performance wise for a smidgen of the price

If he is driving it, it's not very much. The orange supercharged/6 speed sequential is back in the factory, supposedly having the supercharger and six speed sequential box taken off.
Reason they haven't maintained/supplied the Typhon with the supercharger is heat issues under the bonnet.
That leaves the recently delivered one, Smolenski's, and the aforementioned orange one. Oh, and some bits and pieces and molds which might possibly be put together. But I somehow think not.
No further plans to produce T400/440 or Typhon models.
Closest you'll get is to buy one of the racing versions.

I took my Typhon in for its 1,000 mile service last week and NS car was also in the workshop for the same thing. Ironically they are both reflex charcoal and it was interesting to see the two side by side - a rare sight now and much more so in the future I believe!
I was told that the supercharger has been/is being removed from the Orange car. The heat problems were not so much under the bonnet as the fact that exhaust pipes run along side the gearbox.
There will only be 3 Typhons - those mentioned above.

What do you mean by that? I have very little knowledge, and msot of my knowledge is from a while back. That's why I joined, to try and clear up things I haven't been able to find the answers to. Another point is, if it overheats with a supercharger, why not work on a new cooling system? Seems a bit drastic to take the entire thing off when they have such a fast car developing.

Not as drastic as failing to develop their own V8 or dropping the c/f idea and then letting the specialist engine designer go develop his own car with the all singing engine and shell that the TVR Typhon was designed to be, lol
Hello Nick,
It's that I see and hear so much nonsense about tvr's especially in the power claims department that I can get quite jaded. The speed claims would, I suspect be equally doubtful. I doubt they'll make anything that tops 230 mph but the talk will still continue. I love the looks of these cars but wish they stick in a decent engine before they start thinking of forced induction. I do think a couple of bods working from home or a unit could do something wonderful, for a fraction of the price and get it out in the market place in next to no time. This is how race guys get on with their work. Factory's seem to hype it all up and produce next to nothing and with tvr in their current situation I'd be very sceptical about major developments.

Nick, if you haven't already, take a Sagaris out for a test drive. It'll change your opinion of the speed six and the reasons TVR are pursuing this route rather than reverting to shelf type V8's.
Jon, YHM.
I would love to be there's one problem, I'm 17 and haven't even had a driving lesson yet! Hehe. Is the Speed 6 drastically better than a V8 then?

Look at the specs of the Speed 12, it is an utter monster. Round a track I'm willing to bet it'd give the Veyron something to think about, cuz that Veyron is so damn heavy, it'd struggle to brake late into corners.

The question has to be, are the specs true? I've never seen it perform so have no idea if it could even get around a track. I remember this car being in magazines and looking really stunning way back then and then nothing, zilch. It seemed to just fade away, like so many concept cars. It could have been ready to run years ago, even if there were only a few of them so I'd wonder why it wasn't built. Somebody here may have an idea what the problem is but for some reason it probably wasn't viable.

sure the Veyron is heavy but if you want something to leave it for dead see my previous posting.
