Want to upgrade to 15" wheels to allow some decent rubber to be fitted to our S Turbo (standard arches). Thinking of going to 205 x 55 x 15s.

Would the wheel size go to 6.6 J and what would the off set be so as not to foul arches? Apologies if this has already been asked.

You will not have arch clearance problems with those sizes, however you may loose a little steering lock on the front. Also the rolling radius will be slightly smaller than the original on 195/70's on 14"s.

On my Taimar I eventually ran 205/55s on 15"s on the front on a 7J wheel. I used a Revolution RFX wheel (no offset I believe) and Adrian Venn added about 19mm of spacer and put a slightly larger steering lock stop on to stop the wheel a suspension arm.

I also ran 225/50s on 15" 9J on the rear and they only just kissed the arches on full suspension travel, though I was running a couple of degrees of neg camber at the rear.

The S actually had larger rear arches than an M/Taimar and given that Simon was running 16" wheels with wide rubber previously on your car, I can't really see their being a problem.

Personally if I was running 205s I would run with a 7J wheel so that the side walls have less flex in them (the tyre will sit better on the wheel), but its your choice.
