Younger and younger ...

Six year old John Thomas claimed the record for the youngest person to reach the summit of Everest yesterday.

Eight year old father of three, Pete Scrudem entered the Guiness Book of Records as the youngest person to claim Social Security child benefits.
With present day headlines referring to ever younger people reaching the Antarctic, sailing across the Atlantic etc, and more children having children, are the above headlines realistic or is there a limit?

This seems far more possible than I would like to consider.
IIRC the youngest pregnacy carried to term in the UK was a girl of 11? And the youngest father at 12?
Thats not so far off... Scary thought really.
Indeed! At the ripe old age of 23, my 2001 North Pole attempt stirred up a bit of debate amongst the pipe-smoking, bearded, tweed jacket wearing community of retired British explorers.

I'm all for it (the adventure, not the social security
) - part of my motivation is getting other young people off their arses and looking at what they'd like to do with their lives, rather than sitting around moaning about how sh
tty life is. Anyhow, it's old hat. A 17 year-old sailed around the world in the 70's.
Carpe diem, I say (whether you're sixteen or sixty). Huzzah!

Ben, your mad.
But its the good kind of madness

In my home town there was a case of a girl preggers at 12, and again at 14; different fathers of course. The girl named 5 different potential dads as father of the first kid, the real one was identified after DNA test. The father was her mums live in boyfriend, who incidentally had got the mum up the duff too.
I am no prude, but to me this situation is bloody disgusting. To be at it akin to a farmyard animal at 12 is alarming to say the least. At the end of the day there are now two more rat kids for the state to look after, no doubt with many more to came.

Bloody good effort if you ask me
Tyke: Tell me - has this girl's stepfather been done for statutory rape then?

Heard of this one a while back, however I didn hear anything about the guy involved being prosecuted for rape. Or anything else for that matter.
Then again, with the age of the girl involved being his step-daughter its likely his name would have been subject to a gagging order to "protect" the girl involved.
Sick is the word that springs to mind....
Certainly has, he got four years. More bloody expense.
I'll add as well, one of the 5 potential fathers of the first kid was a nightclub bouncer, youngest one was only 15. So at 12 yrs old this young lass was putting it about with a fair amount of zeal. In and out of nightclubs etc, call me an old fashioned twat and all that but when my son reaches 12 I would like to think I know where he is at all times, not lay in bed thinking 'I wonder if junior is totally off his tits yet?'
What earthly contribution are people like this going to make to society in general. Answers on the back of a stamp please.

Tyke said: My thoughts entirely CarZee, I will scan a copy of a letter sent to the local paper and put it on here. Strangely enough they did not print it. She has now had the second kid and refuses to name father, or cant name the father. Total human effluent.
The CSA must be delighted.

Edited to say we must remember during our rantings about the parents, that some poor child has been born into this world with brain dead immoral fcukwits as parents with fcuk all start in life. Would any of us be where we are today if we were born to such scum.

ii) Human shielding
iii) Pig feed
iv) BioMass
Take your choice..
I'm uncomfortable with the pig feed option. Being quite partial to bacon, I wouldn't like to think I was eating these people once-removed. Also, look what happened when we fed scrapie-infected sheep bits to cows.
