Ultima Powered steering
Discussion
Met with Woodward Power steering at autosport, they do a system that could easily adapt to a Ultima.

Did they recommend which unit to use?
Do you need to get their steering column aswell?
Is it just a bolt on package or do you need to get extras?
Would power steering be likely to affect the Handling and possibly the scrub effect on the tyres?
Can't quite make it out from the website and thought that you might have the answers already?
Thanks

You would need to replace the rack, although the steering column itself shouldn't need to change at all. You would also need to fit a pump (which is generally powered by the engine), a reservoir for all of that lovely PAS fluid that makes such a mess when your system leaks

I can't really see much point in fitting PAS to an Ultima myself.
To lighten the steering, you could always go for a much larger diameter steering wheel, like Fangio used to use. 700mm should do it.
Then starve your thighs until theu look like sticks of peperami so you can get in. My spindly pins are already half way there, but Guy's legs may need amputating.
G-man, find us some hand controls for the pedals
