As I've got the time today I'd thought I'd stick some other pictures up of the work over the last few days.

Here is the initial layout

Hope you haven't drilled the mounting holes too deep into the petrol tank

Made up 4 brackets for it. 2 U shaped ones that mounted on the lower fuel tank bolts that hold the boards weight and 2 at the top:

Like that, that screwed to the top of the board and then mounted to the upper mounts of the tank.

Needed 2 people to fit but works well.

Both those installs look excellent!
I am planning something similar along with a speaker upgrade to get rid of the awful Pioneer units in at the moment!! Can you give me an idea of the amp specs that you have gone for? I presume they are 2 x 2 Channel units, is this better than going for a single 4 channel unit? We have recently upgraded the head unit to an Alpine 'i-Pod' ready CD Tuner, and it already had a late model Alpine changer in the boot.
Sorry if that sounds daft, but I do not claim to know anything about 'in-car stuff' other than what I like when I hear it!!

Holy Moly, they look huge!

I have heard of all sorts of ways of getting some more weight over the rear wheels but...

My set up is.

JL Audio 500.1 (500 watts into one channel) for the sub
JL Audio 300.3 (300 watts into two channels) for the front components
A Kenwood 200 watt amp for the rear fill speakers.

Speakers themselves are Polk components up front rated at 150 watts rms and some JBL rears rated at 50 watts rms, sub when I finally build the box for it is a Rockford Fosgate 400w rms 10"-er.

All driven off an Alpine 9855R headunit with 3 RCA outputs to the amps.

Any chance of posting pictures of how the wires get from the head unit to the amps, and also the power cable (I assume from fuse box ?) to the amps, I want to do this myself, but have no idea where to run wires to/from,

Power cable through where the MAP sensor pipe runs through the bulkhead (drill out).

Cables RCA and power under the centre padded section, then up to the top of the rear bulkhead above the fuel tank.

Drill through here also.

Earth cable retuns back into the cabin though the rear bulkhead and attaches to the seat belt mount, not hte best solution but nopt many other mounting points on a FG car.
