Hello all

The new lady in my life a 996 c2 cab tip (flame away I love it!) has just returned from OPC from her 48K service. I am new to Porsche ownership having been and ex Tiv and S2k person and was very very excited with the whole "I finally have a Porker ideal".

I took her in and left her and asked for two small things to be fixed whilst in (one piece of trim replaced and a retaining popper for the hood which was broken. After a bill that would have serviced my S2k three times and shod her in new boots I found that they managed to fix everything except the two things I asked for and leave great big oily fingerprints all over the dash and doors and steering wheel... They did however suggest that I needed new disks all round and probably a new hood.

The disks are ridged admittedly but still have a good few thousand in them as it will very happily stand on its nose if asked but the suggestion for the new hood was because a retaining popper had broken (pennies for the part).

I am very happy that I didnt suffer the dreaded rms that I have seen so much about but am still feeling a bit tender about the whole experience.

Anyhow I took it back to them and they made it all good but it took me taking it back and shouting about it to get it sorted. The Honda guys weren't brilliant but I have never seen quite such complacency when it comes to customer care.

Can I expect this level of service every time I need to get my book stamped? is it simply becuase mine is an old 996 R reg as opposed to a new 997?

Anyhow rant over, and thanks for listening.

Happy to share the name of the OPC if you want please PM
