Farewell to my sprint

My sprint has been sold.. and the new owner will probably scrap it

It turned out it was the clutch slave as suspected, and it was fixed enough for the guy to drive it back home, but he reckoned on scrapping it.. A very sad end to a car that I really enjoyed.. Grinning like mad when I heard its roar yesterday when I got it running. Then the new owner announced hed probably scrap it.. I can understand why, but its not the end I would have wished on it.. it deserved to be turned into an untidy track car at least.

Sorry to hear this ; I had use of one in the mid 80`s ( the then new facelifted car with TRX tyres and plastic add ons etc !) I loved it but it rotted away . Same thing with my 1.7 33 (carb engine) . happy memories !

Woohoo! its not going to be scrapped

New owner called me last night to tell me he was very happy with it - Hed got rid of the K&Ns and replaced a split cv boot, taken it for MOT and presto passed first time. Hes even planning on fixing up the bodywork
