Creaking dash!!

I think this has been done before but as per the norm. the search isn't working!! My 2000 996 C2 dashboard creaks and squeaks worse than the dash of my old lada riva!! I have the full leather interior so I'm guessing it's the leather rubbing against the plastic......any ideas how to stop this as it is really getting to me .

Tenderly massage in some leather food. Won't stop the creak, but you'll feel a whole lot better (and your fingers will smell nice)

Is it the windscreen that's creaking? A common complaint with 996s that can be remedied (with varying degrees of success) with a length of bungee cord pushed down the gap behind the plastic beading around the edge of the screen. You can get it from your local OPC.

I thought I had a creaking dash and spent ages trying to figure it out with no success, as it turned out to be the windscreen, which as has been mantioned is a common problem! sit in the car and gently push the top edge of the windscreen to see if you get the creaking - mine drove me nuts until I figured it out!

I had a new windscreen fitted a couple of months ago so hopefully thats it....iy's driving me round the bend

I wasn't too keen on spraying WD40 all over my red dash so heres hoping.
