Hi All
Im new to the Jap Chat But not Piston Heads, i had TVR previously.
Just thought id give you an update on the 'Z' for those that are interested.
Previously had Merc (company car) and TVR chim.
Divorce & change of job meant only one car going forward.
I wanted a car that i could go to work in everyday but also had some added spice of power, sound, looks - no kids so space wasnt any issue. Test Drove 350z and then S2000, RX8, Boxster to compare. Came back to 350z every time, i know the other cars have alot of great attributes but the 'Z' just did it for me, handled great for my style of driving, brutish power surge and the sound just topped it off, so i took delivery of an Azure Blue 350z in the middle of Jan 06.
3 months and 5000 miles later im still very impressed with this car, there's not too many on the road so it has abit of rarity, ive thrashed it on B roads, hit some interesting top speeds, and cruised at 80 all day on motorways, it wasnt brilliant in snow but hey ho i can live with that. I look forward to driving it all the time and thats the crucial factor for me in owning your car no matter what make. Everybodys opinions differ on different cars (ive read 100's of threads on TVR versus this and that)and lets face it, if we werent different it would be boring because everybody would be driving the same.
fuel consumption varies from 17-28 mpg depending on driving, build quality has been excellent apart from the front end which has stone chipped abit already.
Im planning a blitz to France in May too so looking forward to that.

Would be good to hear of anybody else with first Z experience or otherwise.
Opps Just looked at length of my thread sorry about war & peace.

and aps twin turbo conversion. performance is astounding 435 bhp and more importantly
420lbs of torque.this thing really flies exhaust note from the true dual aps exhaust is something else.cant wait for le-mans to wake up a few exotica.

I did indeed. Two quite different cars. The 350z was an impulse buy, I was lucky enough to get hold of a cancelled order when they came out in November 2003. Always gives me a smile when I drive it, and it eats up the miles to and from various European race tracks.

Thanks Greg, had a run in with Reg Vardy, the general manager at W.ton refused to honour my Holiday, even though it had been agreed when I took the job on. Still, have been in touch with A C A S and have the forms to go to Tribunal when they don,t pay me at the end of this month. Hope it goes the distance, have got some great dirt to dish on the Boss Man!!!

Bought a second hand 350Z, suposedly as a temporary car, when my Noble M12 finally fell to bits. I love it - great on M-ways, but great handling too. But decided not to thrash heavy cars on track any more - so got Lotus Exige for that - both for less than Noble - 350Z much better on road and reliable; Lotus more suited to track.
