Beautifull 2 yr old ESS bitch free to good home
Discussion
I have a liver and white 2 and a bit year old ESS who sadly must go. The dog currently lives outside in her kennel and run.
She is quite obediant in as much as she will walk to heel on or off the lead. Sit and stay. Sit at the whistle at distance and will retrieve (the retrieving needs work). She is very lively but responds well to attention. She does not bark at night or during the day and yelps when excited, eg excercise time. She is slim and very, very fit.
I will be very sad to see her go but unfortunatley I am just unable to give her the attention she needs due to ever increasing work commitments. I see no sense in keeping her 'for my pleasure' as its her well being that is more important to me. She has the best temperament I have ever seen in any dog. She has allways been well looked after by myself and has never gone without any treatment she has needed. She will soon be due for a booster though.
I am located in South Wales and will insist that she goes to a good home only. She is from good stock and I am sure would be good to breed although I know little about this area.
She is happy working the rough but has not been out this season, again due to my work commitments.
Thanks
Mike

G/f has been whining on for ages for another one, but she doesn't think 2 bitches together would work. I'll ask her tonight though. Be prepared for a no though, Penny chewed through her new knickers last night after they were left on the floor for half an hour. You'd think a 6 yo Springer would know better. Or maybe not!
Editted to say Penny is the Springer & the Knickers belonged to the G/f

Anyone who keeps an ESS indoors has got more patience than me with them. My Dad is well into them : www.badgercourt.co.uk

Sorry to hear you've got to let her go but I admire your overiding consideration towards her well being. I have a lovely 4yr old ESS bitch that typically is completely nutty but totally loyal.
Ours would not welcome another bitch and the placement of one dog with friends when we go on holiday is straight forward but two would be difficult!
Trust you find a good home and one who isn't purely going to exploit her for breeding puposes!

Quick update, folks. It's always nice to hear a story with a happy ending.
After collecting her yesterday morning, Jess is already extremely well settled in her new home – right now she's asleep under my desk. She's even nicer than Mike said she was; we're just having to be careful not to spoil her too much.
Next month we're moving to a farmhouse with seven acres of land for her to run (constantly) in and chase pheasants, so I'm pretty sure she'll be happy as can be.
We'd just like to pass on our respect to Mike for letting her go. He must be completely gutted.
So thanks, Mike. We owe you one.

I'm so glad you've managed to give her a nice new home, and one with plenty of land for her to run round in.Gassing Station | General Gassing [Archive] | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
