Car in (2003 C2 996 23k on clock) and they are saying the disks are at 27mil and can need to be replaced at 26mil, is this true. Quoted me a price of £600 for front disks, seems very high, comments

Also, front pads are 60% worn (original) quoting £292 to replace front pads, again seems high and a bit early to replace. Does it seem right that they are 60% worn and the disks are now close to their limit?

Also, how often would everyone recomend a four wheel alignment?

same old chestnut from OPCs

Don't bother with the brakes, get a second opinion from an indy. If they *really* do need doing it's a few hours of spannering that pretty much any numpty can do whilst saving themselves a packet

ETA - I do the alignment every 2 years

An indie will do pads and discs (fitted) for around £300 per end.
