Failing to start
Discussion
My Chimaera has an intermittent problem whereby it fails to start after a temporary stop (e.g. for petrol). This usually happens when the car is quite hot (e.g. after sitting in traffic shortly before the stop).
When I try to restart, the fuel pump kicks in as normal but when I turn the iginition key the starter motor/engine is completely dead. I have found that after about 20 minutes the car will restart and work completely as normal.
Has anyone else experienced this / know what is causing it / know how it can be fixed?

very commonly reported problem ... try searching the Chim forums for hot start problem ... either explained by inadequate wiring or starter motor cooked
