Having searched the threads I can only find one members view which is to let out pressure to keep them at manufacturers reccomended road pressures.
But
On my most recent track day I was told by the people who I bought it from to run them at 30 psi hot all round.
I spoke to a 996 GT3 RS owner there who said on his he ran at 32psi hot all round.
Apparently the yanks run much higher pressures.

(Tyres are soon to be knackered Conti contact sport N2)

Trying out the recently fitted Pagid RS29's and ATE racing blue fluid at Bedford this Saturday.

So specifically for the lardy 996 tt what is the tried and tested best track tyre pressures?

Thanks

30psi hot??? No way thats probably your starting point as cold pressure for rear and 32 for the front. 40psi hot all around should be your goal. Street tyres were designed to run arounf 40psi hot and slick tyres a bit less than this.

32 all round hot is what I've been running on Corsa Systems on my RS. 30-32 is what people use for Michellin Pilot Sport Cup tyres on GT3s, but may be a little low for the Systems going by feedback from others.

Would guess this is too low for a turbo on street tyres, as they don't have the rigid side walls of the aforementioned tyres.

You aren't the Turbo owner I was talking to at Bedford on the 14th by any chance?

Thanks Kiko & DanH,
No, that was not me, I was at Bedford with Easytrack on 25th March and am back there this Saturday with Bookatrack. I'm hoping to try out Silverstone and Donnington later in the year and am using Bedford to limber up.

So it seems that 30-32 psi hot is too low and 40 psi better. Any other turbo owners have any experience they can share?

I've typically run at around 44 psi hot on the rears with the standard Pzero Asimmetrico - much less than that and they seem to go off very quickly. In any case, would recommend that you do a few laps and then let the pressures down if using street rubber on the track.
