Key Fob not working

Come back from holiday and not only have I left the trickle charger connected but not switched on, but also the passenger door open, so interior light on for two weeks.

I have recharged the battery but now the key fob doesnt want to lock the car, or allow the car to start. I have replaced the battery in the fob, and it did work this morning, but not now.

Do I need to reset something?

try holding fob button in for a while. Might re-synch.

Hold the fob button down for 10(ish) seconds when you re-connect the battery terminal (you will have to disconnect it first!!). It'll flash when its done.

It should re-synch itself.

Ask again if it doesn't work.

Thanks for your replies. I tried the first option of just holding down the button on the fob, no luck. When I disconnected the battery and reconnected it it immediately reset and the fob was fine. While I had the cover off the battery I checked the battery levels, but couldnt check one cell as it was partly under the wing. I undid the nut securing the battery but couldnt get it to move towards the engine to reveal the cell. I didnt want to force it. Is thee a particular method?

Yes there is a knack !! Took me ages to work out.
To get the 072 type battery out you need a large screwdriver under the battery and lever it over the large proud nut. You need to then lever it back in. See my battery thread about 2 or 3 months ago.
