Saw what I think was a Turbo S Cab in White with GT2 written down the sides in Black - like a huge vinyl graphic. Looked ![]()

BTW - this was in Charminster, Bournemouth this evening
Football player? He's probably been told it's the only official factory GT2 Cabriolet in the World, originally built for Ferry himself etc etc
911s are great
911 cabs are OK (but not my thing)
911 turbos are the dogs danglies
why then do I find a 911 turbo cab to be the most desperately naff car?
(perhaps the combination of:
I bought the quickest/most costly model +
compromised the peformance/handling by chopping off roof =
I bought this to pose and prove I am considerably richer than yowwww / check out the medallion)

Or i just wanted the fastest Car in the range, that has a convertible roof.
Although what this guy has done sounds totally tasteless, i think it's unfair to stereotype everyone else
who owns one !!

Agree on both points and did not mean to stereotype, hence my slight confusion "why do I....". I am sure it is a great car but I would never have one and personally see them as a bit naff. Just not sure why as I don't see this in turbo coupe / std cab and its just a combination of the two.
Come on - do you wear a mdeallion?

A

Only on Saturday nights !!!!
I think you have to understand, that not everybody is looking for the same thing in their Porsche.
I love trackdays, so i got the GT3, i used to own a Boxster S, and loved the open top motoring, fantastic handling, and
alround practicality/usability. So the TT Cab was the natural progression for me, is it has all of this.
(But my Missus drives it more than me )

Surely you'll need some serious wind protector if using any more than 20% of the Turbo's capability with the roof off? I wouldn't want to be 'properly' hooning in one, you'd get blown to bits surely?
(caveat - I've never driven a convertible 911 so have no idea whether the age-old wind blast problem has been fixed by those clever engineers at Porsche... however I do know how comfortable a Griff 500 top down was above 80 mph...)
