M400 on TV - Vroom Vroom

well it wasn't really a fair match - the lambo had 570 bhp

top speed is all about BHP and good aerodynamics

172 from a standing start is pretty good at brunters

are there any performance figures for the M12 2.5 , 3.0 (5 speed and 6) and 400 ?

From what I remember from posts on here the 2.5 has not managed to hit 150MPH at Brunt or has only just made it.

2.5, 312bhp, 163 certified speed from VMAX 4 (or 5?).

I've also hit a 169 in 340bhp 2.5l guise, and 165 in the M400 with a serious headwind.

That program is so dire it is unbelievable.

This set of tests is a joke anyway, last week a 911 turbo with ceramic disks,stability and abs against a caterham?? I've no doubt everyone on here is fully capable of outbreaking ABS (!) but that was a pretty stiff test.

To make it worse they proved their ignorance in the build up to that one by saying that on an A road nothing could stay with a 911 turbo.

Then this week the Noble in a top speed test which is about the only thing it doesn't excel at - next week there is a handling test but it won't be the Noble.

Thank heavens for sky+ - at x30 it is just about bearable

I must admit I can't believe how sh*te that program is! What the hell does pulling a table cloth from underneath a set of crockery tell you about real acceleration? Driving over rough terrain whilst some dozy bint tries to put make-up on (argh!). I know it's supposed to be a bit tongue in cheek but jeez!

Tell me about it! I sat through this ejection of liquid excrement last night whilst waiting for Battlestar Galactica to come on, and also because I wanted to see if it was any good, and couldn't believe how crap it was. Although curling with cars was mildly amusing and is the sort of thing that Top Gear might do.
Apart from that it was totally pants and I can't see me watching it again.

The M400 was nice though.
